The Council is excited to officially enter a three-year partnership with the @University of Missouri-St. Louis to broaden higher education access for Scouts starting in the 2025-26 academic year.
Research shows that 75 percent of Scouting members go on to earn a bachelor's degree, which is twice the national average. The partnership illustrates the Council's commitment to support educational journeys for young adults in greater St. Louis and eastern Illinois.
Included in the agreement are: ?? Gold Scholarships of $5,250 to Scouting members enrolling at UMSL full-time as first-time freshman ?? 15% tuition reduction to Scouting staff members enrolling in part-time undergraduate or graduate programs ?? support service access as Scouts make progress toward their degrees
Special thanks to Ronda Smith for making this partnership happen.
