The Morning Mixer is a networking event for members of the Farmington Regional Chamber. It is held from 7:30-9 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month.
Each Morning Mixer is open to up to 40 chamber members. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. Refreshments will be available for registered guests, and members may choose to stay for the duration of the event or just drop by to socialize for a few minutes.
Governor Greitens has put out the call to eliminate red tape and kill rules that are a hindrance rather than a help. As part of the review process, the Department of Labor is asking for your comments on its existing rules.
The Farmington and St Francois County Industrial Development Authorities and the Farmington Regional Chamber have joined together to give you the opportunity to meet Anna Hui, Director of the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Wednesday morning, August 9th. Director Hui will be at the Farmington Chamber Office during the August Morning Mixer to discuss topics on businesses and workers, safety and harassment free environments with you and share your thoughts.
The governor’s charge to the state agencies is to determine if specific regulations are ineffective or unnecessary by considering whether:
The regulation’s cost outweighs its benefits.
The regulation is effective.
The regulation is the least restrictive alternative.
The regulation is based on sound, reasonably available scientific, technical, economic, or other relevant information.
The regulation is unduly burdensome or adversely affects Missouri citizens or customers.
An opportunity to reduce governmental regulations doesn’t come along all that often. The St Francois County and Farmington IDAs, along with the Farmington Regional Chamber, are very pleased to have Director Anna Hui in Missouri’s Parkland to give our area the opportunity to be heard! Business owners, managers, human resource directors, and entrepreneurs are encouraged to meet with Ms. Hui Wednesday morning starting at 7:30 during this special appearance. Light morning fare will be served.
Seating at the Chamber office in Farmington is limited. Please contact the Chamber at 573-756-3615 to reserve a seat.
