About Us

Parkland Inspections is owned by a former law enforcement officer with years of crime scene investigations experience. Paul Barnard was the acting detective at the Hardwick Police Department in Vermont as well as the Northeast Drug Task Force. His unique eye for detail helped him with finding pieces of evidence that assisted with criminal investigations. Paul takes that same criminal process and applies it to home inspections. Before being a police officer, Paul was a Realtor with Jim Campbell Real Estate in Newport, Vermont. This, in addition to over 8 years of handyman experience, Paul has the combined experience that a professional home inspector needs.
Paul has commercial building experience too. Working with Allegiant Commercial Asset Services Group, Paul inspected small retail businesses to large office buildings. In 2023, Paul inspected the main Schnuck’s Distribution Center in Kinlock outside St. Louis. Parkland Inspections currently is contracted by Crawford Inspections and Hancock Claims for home and building inspections in and around Southeast Missouri.
Paul is a trained and certified Professional Home Inspector by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI).
