Are you prepared for a workplace violence incident?
The Farmington Regional Chamber has booked Travis Blankenship with Threat Assessment Consultants, LLC, to present a Workplace Violence Awareness and Planning seminar on Thursday, September 11.
Current issues facing employers include internal friction, domestic violence and armed intruders. Although violence is difficult to predict, the development of a workplace violence and security program is essential in providing a safe and secure environment for employees and corporate assets.
Pre-established programs and crisis planning can significantly reduce liability of employers, while vastly improving the response of emergency services. Recommendations for beginning a corporate security program will be provided.
Blankenship is a 19-year veteran law enforcement officer and owner of TAC. He has extensive experience in tactical operations, tactical command, criminal investigations, narcotics and crisis response protocol. He has over 3,500 hours of specialized law enforcement training and certifications.
He is a certified instructor for the National Tactical Officers Association, the Missouri Sheriff’s Association and the Police Officer Standards and Training Commission.
Blankenship developed TAC utilizing his mission of “being prepared” to mitigate the damage of active shooters and domestic terrorists. He and his team of experts have worked diligently to develop interactive training, assessment and crisis planning programs for corporate and educational institutions. He ensures that TAC’s programs are designed to be current with modern and historical violence tendencies.
