The City of Farmington would like to invite the public to an open house for the new City Light & Water and Development Services offices located at 101 South Jefferson Street in Farmington.
The new facility, which originally housed the Farmington Fire Department, will allow for easier public access and expanded office space. Street parking off Jefferson Street is available, as well as public parking lots to the north and south of the building.
The Farmington City Light & Water payment drop box has been relocated to the south side of the building and is now available for customers to drive up to. As always, customers can visit the City Light & Water office for payments, new account setup, and questions regarding their City utility accounts.
The Development Services Department continues to handle building permits, contractor licensing, planning and zoning issues, and code enforcement in the new location. The new facility includes a large meeting room that will be used for planning and zoning, historic preservation, public works, and building code advisory meetings.
The open house will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 5:00pm. The regularly scheduled City Council meeting will be held in the updated space beginning at 6:00pm and will return to its regular location at City Hall on February 26, 2024.
