Farmington High School Sweetheart Talent Show on Wednesday

Event Description
This year’s Sweetheart Dance Talent Show will be on Wednesday, February 1 at Truman Auditorium. For more than a dozen years, Farmington High School women have been participants in the show that is open to the public. High School Social Studies teacher Charity Vaeth coordinate’s the event and is also the sponsor of the Student Council.
Admission to the talent show is $5. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. 14 contestants will be interviewed and will then perform their talent. The show will include acts where the contestants sing, dance and rap. One contestant also plans on reading poetry that she has written.
Farmington High School has over 20 social clubs. Each one has the chance to nominate a contestant. Students Marissa Sutherland, Roper Garrett and Kyle Warren will emcee the talent show. Judges for the show remain anonymous until the night of the show.
The Sweetheart dance is at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the High School gym. The public is welcome to view the coronation around 8 p.m.
